11 of a family murdered in a shock of Faisalabad


Faisalabad:

Eleven members of a single family, including a mother and her two daughters, lost their lives, and several others were injured, including four children, in a deadly collision between a passenger bus and a Rickshaw Qingqi in Lahore Road, near Lundianwala.

The victims returned home after spending eids when the bus bound for Lahore (Lro-2562 registration number) hit the Rickshaw due to the alleged negligence of the driver.

The accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Lundianwala Police Station.

Those killed in the place include Mumtaz Bibi, 35; His daughters, 14 -year -old Muskan and Iman, 15 years old; 12 years of age; Shazia, 35 years old; Shehzad, 26; Amina Bibi, 18, and Humaira, 15.

Several others were seriously injured in the accident: Amina, 12, Hassan, 7, Aliza, 14, Salman, 8, Nouman, 10 years old, 14 years old, and Nazia, 35.

The 1122 rescue personnel gave them first aid and then moved to the Faisalabad of the Civil Hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the bus speed tried to overtake another vehicle and collided in front with the Rickshaw that took the family. The Rickshaw was completely crushed.

Despite the accident that occurred near a police station, it took the schedule of the authorities to reach the scene. Bodies of five of the deceased, including children, remained on the road for hours before being transferred to the Janwala hospital after the initial police formalities.

Police have put both the bus and Qingqi Rickshaw, while efforts are being made to arrest the drivers, who fled the scene after the accident.

A large amount of locals gathered at the scene after the accident, which resulted in a severe interruption of traffic on the road.

Police confirmed that the deceased were part of the same family and headed home after Eid’s break when the tragedy occurred.
