Prime Minister Shehbaz pays tribute to forces that carried out successful counter-terrorism operations against Fitna al Khawarij
Thirteen terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the army’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence operation was carried out in Mohmand district following reports of Khawarij’s presence in the area. During the operation, the troops effectively attacked a terrorist hideout and after an intense exchange of fire, killed seven terrorists.
In a separate intelligence-based operation carried out in Bannu district, security forces successfully neutralized six more Khawarij, the ISPR said. Both operations took place on December 12 and 13.
The army’s media wing said disinfection operations were being carried out to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khawarij present in the area.
He added that the security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, remain committed to a relentless anti-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The ISPR reaffirmed that counter-terrorism operations would continue at full pace until complete elimination of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism in the country.
PM Shehbaz praises security forces for successful IBOs
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to security forces for carrying out two successful counter-terrorism operations against Fitna al Khawarij terrorists in Mohmand and Bannu districts.
In a statement issued by the media wing of the Prime Minister’s Office, the prime minister praised the security forces for eliminating 13 terrorists during the various operations. He praised their professionalism, bravery and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, security forces are achieving great successes in the ongoing war against terrorism. He reaffirmed the government’s determination to continue decisive action against terrorist elements.
The Prime Minister further stated that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism. He stressed that the people of Pakistan are united and fully determined to eradicate terrorism in all its forms from the country.
