Mianwali:
At least 16 terrorists belonging to the illegal of Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in operations separated by the police, the anti-terrorism department (CTD) and the security forces in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday.
Punjab police said at least 10 terrorists were killed and several other injured in a joint operation of the CTD police in the Makarwal area of the Mianwali district. Hours later, the army said that six terrorists were killed in two intelligence -based operations (IBO) in the Waziristan region of KP.
According to Mianwali Police, a joint operation began two days ago about the presence of 20 to 30 terrorists in the Mullakhel mountain area, adjacent to the Karak district, in the jurisdiction of the Makarwal Police Station.
They said that the contingents of the Police, CTD and the Rangers, led by the police officer of the district of Mianwali (DPO) Akhtar Farooq and united by the police officer of the Sargodha mountain range (RPO) Shahzad Asif Khan, surrounded the terrorists and hired them in intermediate firefighters exchanges.
As a result, according to a statement issued by Punjab police spokesman, more than 10 terrorists were killed, adding that there were more terrorist injury reports. The source said that more police actions were being carried out against terrorists.
During these fire exchanges, said Punjab police spokesman, a local man was injured in his leg and was transferred to a local hospital. He added that all officers and police staff and the CTD remained unharmed.
Mianwali security and surrounding areas have been improved after operation. The officials confirmed that the operation would continue to ensure the complete elimination of the terrorist networks operating in the region.
The Punjab Police Inspector (IGP), Dr. Usman Anwar, praised Mianwali’s police about his “brilliant success” against terrorists. “The Punjab police are on alert … Terrorist’s disastrous plans will be crushed,” said Punjab police chief.
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz also paid tribute to the Punjab and CTD police for eliminating 10 terrorists in Makarwal and sent their best wishes to them. “The brave children of the Punjab police are our pride,” he said.
In a statement issued by Islamabad, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Punjab and CTD police for their successful operation against terrorists, qualifying as a “significant success” in the ongoing struggle against terrorism.
The minister paid tribute to the brave police and CTD personnel who, in a high -risk operation, eliminated more than 10 Khawarij terrorists. He said that the operation was not only a tactical success, but a powerful message for all anti-state elements, conspiring against the peace and security of the country.
“By sending more than 10 Khawarij terrorists to hell, the Punjab and CTD police have demonstrated exceptional resolution and professionalism,” Naqvi said. He added that such victories were crucial to guarantee lasting peace in the country and safeguard the lives of innocent citizens.
Reiterating the unwavering position of the Government against terrorism, the Minister of the Interior, Naqvi, said that all the necessary resources would be provided to the application of the Perosnnel law to eliminate terrorism from the country.
Waziristan Ibos
According to Public Relations between Services (ISPR), five Khwarij terrorists were killed in an Ibo area in Razmak in the Northern Waziristan district, while a leader of the Zabi Ullah terrorist ring was neutralized in another Ibo in the southern district of Waziristan.
“In the reported presence of Khwarij, the security forces in the general area Razmak, Northern Wazirist district, carried out an intelligence -based operation. During the operation of the operation, the troops themselves effectively compromised the location of Khwarij, resulting, as a result, five khwarij were sent to hell,” said the ISPR.
“In the South Waziristan district, the troops themselves effectively neutralized the leader of the Kharji Zabi Ullah @zakran ring, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces, as well as in the murder of innocent civilians and the law enforcement agencies,” he added.
The ISPR said that disinfecting operations were being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in those areas, adding that Pakistan security forces were determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism in the country.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to security forces for successful operations against Khwarij in Waziristán Norte and South. In their separate statements, they applauded the courage of the troops for killing the Khwarij.
They reiterated the government’s commitment to eliminate terrorism from the country. The president and the prime minister said that the entire nation was linked along with the security forces against the threat of terrorism.
