A controversy of a ski suit wrapped Norway and led to charges against five country team members, including two gold medalists, the sport federation announced Monday.
Marius Lindvik, Johann Andre Forfang, two coaches and a member of the service personnel were accused as part of an investigation into “team manipulation” in the Nordic World Championship in March, said the International Federation of Ski and Snowboard (FIS).

Each person was accused of ethical violations for the supposed manipulation. Modified costumes can help ski jumpers to fly even more with more aerodynamic resistance. Lindvik won a gold medal at the Male Normal Colinas event in the World Championship, while Norway took the bronze home for the male team event in the Great Hill.
Both awards are in danger.
The FIS did not give a schedule for audiences or verdicts in the case. The governing body said that the prohibitions, fines and disqualifications of the results are among the punishments that could be imposed. The organization said it conducted interviews with 38 witnesses and examined 88 tests in the case.

The Chief coach of Norway, Magnus Brevik, and the team manager, Adrian, Liverten, previously confessed the manipulation, saying that the costumes were altered only before the Hill men event.
“We regret like dogs, and I’m very sorry that this happened,” Brevik said in March.
Lindvik and Forfang were in the team that took home the bronze medal in the World Championship. The FIS disqualified both the individual event of large hills and were suspended. Both denied participation in the alleged scheme.
It is not clear what the states of Lindvik and Forfang will be for the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy.
