The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates the repatriation of 22 Pakistani survivors of the recent maritime incident near the port of Dajla, in Morocco.

After exhaustive investigations and careful coordination with the Moroccan authorities, these individuals will be returned to Pakistan in lots, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Saturday.

The Pakistan Embassy in Rabat has been working closely with the Moroccan authorities to supervise the help efforts and finish the complex repatriation procedure. The consular team of the Embassy in Dajla has played a decisive role in planning the survivors’ return.

The Crisis Management Unit (CMU) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has actively participated in the monitoring of the situation, providing the necessary support for affected people and maintaining active communication with their families.

He said that the national identity verification remains a critical component of this process that was quickly completed in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the relevant departments.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also facilitating the return of 11 Pakistani citizens from Mauritania. These people have voluntarily chose to return to their homes and will be part of a separate repatriation process.
