RAWALPINDI:
Security forces successfully neutralized 22 terrorists and injured 18 others during various Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted since December 14 last year in Tirah general area of Khyber District.
“Of late, there have been numerous terrorist incidents in the general area of Tirah, Khyber district, against security forces and innocent civilians, resulting in several casualties,” according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In response to the heinous acts, security forces are carrying out extensive Intelligence Based Operations (IBO) in the area against the Khwarij.
“The IBOs will continue until peace is restored in the area and the khawrij are eliminated as Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” he added.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to security forces for killing 22 Khawarij terrorists in operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
In a press statement, the President praised the security forces for eliminating terrorists during intelligence operations in Khyber district.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations against Fitna-al-Khawarij in Tirah, Khyber District, since December 14, 2024.
