- 53% of shared accommodation users say they have lost players due to accidents, delays or inactivity time
- Only 10% of VP and 8% of naked metal users experienced the same
- 58% of Minecraft administrators say that low latency is the most important factor when choosing a server
A liquid web study on Minecraft accommodation in 2025 has confirmed that the reliable Minecraft server accommodation is key to success in the field.
In the survey of more than 1,000 administrators and players of the Minecraft server, Liquid Web discovered that investing in superior Minecraft servers generally worth it, but that many administrators discovered that they could do with more assistance.
Crucially, 25% of all administrators discovered that they had lost players and friends due to problems of delay, failures or inactivity time on their server. That figure shot up to a huge 53% when shared accommodation users are observed, with the number submerged to only 10% for VPS users and 8% of naked metal servers administrators.
It is a strong reminder that the best Minecraft server accommodation could make or break its possibilities as a successful Minecraft server administrator.
Minecraft server administrators need more support
According to the survey, 38% of Minecraft server administrators find server configuration and administration confuses, with 58% willing to take a class or tutorial on how to configure a Minecraft server.
These problems were more common among housing users shared with around 36% of that group citing confusion, compared to 17% of naked metal users. In a nutshell, shared accommodation users face greater possibilities of losing players due to problems, but they also feel less safe in their ability to correct issues.
Linked to that, the third largest disorder for Minecraft users is bad customer service with 36% with hidden rates and high latency/slow response time that is the largest and second problem.
As a person surveyed, he explained: “It is difficult to make friends stay when the server is blocked every two days. That is why I finally changed. It was not costs, it was about keeping people together.”
While shared accommodation may seem a cheap and easy solution, you can spit your Minecraft server hosting plans faster than any other decision you make.
