ISLAMABAD:
The government has completed the framework for the 27th constitutional amendment and it is expected to get approval from both houses of parliament next week, sources told The Express PAkGazette on Tuesday.
According to sources, the government finalized the draft of the amendment and decided to present it first in the Senate before passing it to the National Assembly for approval. The proposed legislation is expected to be introduced in the upper house on Friday.
Sources said the Law Ministry and the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry have already conveyed the decision to the Senate Secretariat.
