I am not someone who cries when I watch a very emotional movie or television series. Of course, I have a crying eyes, but, in the vast majority of cases, I am never looking for a box of fabrics to stop the flow of cascade tears in my face after a particularly devastating scene or sequence.
Until now, in 2025, however, three different shows have somehow deciphered my steel resolution and have made me a crying shipwreck. Is it because I am aging and, therefore, more susceptible to productions with emotional load? Are your stories so well designed that they throw harder in the “ Hearts? Or is it simply a great coincidence that three of the most destroyed projects of the soul have been launched in the best transmission services in the world this year? Who can say.
Anyway, I don’t want to be the only soft here, so here is the trio of television originals that have revived my cold and dead heart in the first six months of the year.
Adolescence (Netflix)

The greatest television success of Netflix in 2025 so far and, at the time of publication, the second most watched television in English in the history of streamer (take that, Strangest things Season 4!) It is an unmissable miniseries.
A story whose individual chapters are surrounded as a continuous and long shot, a highly technical process known as an ‘oner’- Adolescence He tells the history of 13 years Jamie (Cooper) who has arrested under suspicion of killing a student at his school. Each episode focuses on different characters during and after police investigation, also, with the immediate and long -range impact of the alleged crime feeling intense by all involved.
Acclaimed by fans and critics equally for their writing, direction, cinematography, tone and actions of individual and collective cast, Adolescence It is an emotional power that deserves a permanent place in our list of the best Netflix programs. Its impact has been so great, in fact, that it has caused multiple discussions nationwide in the United Kingdom on the crime of youth knives, the alarming increase in misogynist opinions between male adolescents and systemic failures and local and national government levels. A heartbreaking program that will leave you a lasting impression long after its final loan sequence has become.

Star Wars is a family franchise. Of course, it has occasionally pushed the limits of what is appropriate for the youngest members of its world fans base, but, in general, it has not strived to alienate parts of its global community.
Andor It is the only project that dared to be different. A Disney+ Live Action series, oriented to adults, threw the traditional Star Wars Play Book in favor of telling a political history and oriented to the thriller of spies that not only star in a large number of morally gray characters, but also addresses difficult issues of conversation about fascism, sexual assault, human cost of the conflict and moral complications that arise from the revolution.
I really enjoyed Andor Season 1 But, either to its overwhelming narratives, the second and last season of the second and safe program, or a combination of both, season 2 is another beast. You can read more about why it is a clock so paradoxically entertaining but heavy in me Andor Review of season 2, or go and transmit one of the best Disney+ shows in its entirety at this time. It will be worth once you arrive Andor Season 2 Episode 8, that is, the blow of a chapter that made me sob my heart.

The last of us Season 2 was a slight step in quality compared to its most praised ancestor, but the popular original HBO and Max TV still had the ability to destroy the spectators emotionally on multiple occasions.
I don’t think anyone has overcome the heartbreaking episodes last season of last season either. I also include my contingent, and that is like someone who has played The last part of us part IIalso known as the second game in the Naughty Dog video game name that The last of us The second year departure from the television program is based on.
With The last of us Season 3 In early development, there will be many more distressing moments to come in one of Max’s best shows. It may be better to store the fabrics now, then, before The last of us‘The third installment makes its arc of TV and potentially our heart is started as its predecessors did.
