A Nigerian national who arrived from Bahrain at Lahore airport had 35 capsules full of cocaine seized of the stomach.

According to a spokesman for the Antarcotic Force (ANF), drugs were seized worth more than RS 381 million, for a total of 406.98 kilograms, in several operations.

Eight individuals, including foreign citizens and a woman, were arrested for their participation in drug trafficking and smuggling.

In an operation near Islamabad on the M-1 highway, a woman was arrested with 4.8 kilograms of opium and 7.2 kilograms of hashish.

In another operation on the same highway, 8.4 kilograms of hidden hashish were found in a car, and two suspects were arrested. In addition, in a third operation, a passenger bus was recorded and 2.4 kilograms of hashish of a passenger were recovered.

In a separate incident in Mansehra, 450 grams of hashish were seized of a suspect near a university.

In Baluchistan, 360 kilograms of hashish were found in the deserted area of ​​Pishin, and 21.6 kilograms of hashish of the hidden compartments of a vehicle near Peshawar were recovered.

Cases have been submitted under the Antarcotic Law against arrested persons, and investigations are underway.

Last month, ANF frusted multiple attempts to smuggled drugs, taking almost 28 kg of narcotics worth more than RS10 million in a series of operations throughout the country.

Two suspects have been arrested, with ongoing investigations.

According to an ANF spokesman, drug trafficking repression continues, particularly around educational institutions and key transport centers.

The authorities are pointing to national and international smuggling networks.

In Peshawar, a suspect was arrested near a university with 2 kg of cannabis, which admitted that it was intended for sale to students.
