ISLAMABAD:
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Wednesday announced that the government is launching a Rs 4,500-crore scheme to train 7,200 professionals in semiconductor chip design.
Speaking at the Margalla Dialogue 2025, themed “Algorithmic Warfare: How AI is redefining influence and security”, Shaza said the program included the ‘Inspire’ initiative, to develop national expertise in semiconductors.
He added that public sector-funded high-tech training programs across the country already train more than half a million young people annually.
