The National Assembly was informed during question time on Thursday that competent authorities have blocked 6.5 million blasphemous and obscene messages in a single year. The issue was raised by PPP legislator Syed Hussain Tariq.
He said that despite blocking millions of websites through the web monitoring system, online fraudulent websites remain active.
He said that parliamentarians still receive messages through these types of fraudulent platforms and demanded to know what actions have been taken.
