Dyson Airwraps is not cheap. If you are looking to protect your investment, making you last as long as possible, this article is here to help.
It is also a week of sustainability here in Techradar, and we are looking for ways in which it can make Gadget’s habit more ecological. Finding ways to solve, update or avoid having to buy a completely new airway is not just a victory for your bank balance, it is also better for the planet.
We talked to a Dyson spokesman about the brand’s approach towards sustainability, and they told us that their first priority is to ensure that everything is built to last first.
“During development, Dyson is based on extensive tests: products are reduced more than 5,000 times, digital engines work for up to 20,000 hours and machines experience durability tests to ensure that the machine remains without compromises and is difficult enough, tests to the point of failure,” the spokesman told the United States. “When focusing on longevity and supporting repability through modular designs, Dyson helps customers maintain their devices in use for a longer time.”
With luck, your plane must be built to stay; We certainly impressed the construction quality when we tried it for our Dyson Airwrap ID review. However, if you want to update it, repair it, replace or recycle it, keep reading about how to do it …
#1. Update your accessories
If you had an older air vapor and you are dismayed when you see that better accessories appear with newer models (for example, comparing Dyson Airwrap vs. Airwrap ID, the latter has a new barrel of curls in spouse), you can give it in favor of your original plane buying new accessories separately. This is also a good cry if one of its attachments breaks.
For Dyson’s genuine pieces, it must be directed directly to the accessories store within the Dyson site. Here, you can buy barrels of curls in different shapes and size, or update to a bidirectional one if you made your initial purchase when it was still separated in the direction of the clock needles and in an antihorean sense. There are also different brushes and even accessory packages.
As expected, Dyson’s official accessories are quite expensive, although much cheaper (and most sustainable) than buying a new steam. Also keep in mind that what is available will vary according to the country: American and Australian stores are much better stored than the United Kingdom store at the time of writing.
- Dyson Accessory Store: USA / United Kingdom / Au
We have seen some Dupe accessories through sites like Amazon, but unless it is really desperate, we recommend avoiding them and opting for the real. You are never sure what you are getting, and if it turns out to be a garbage or incompatible quality, you will enter the wild west of Amazon Returns.
#2. Replace broken parts
In addition to an accessories store, Dyson also sells spare parts for many of its products. Actually, there are not many mobile pieces in the air vapor, apart from the accessories that we have previously covered, but it should be able to collect a replacement filter cage if yours is broken.
This is also the place to go if you want to collect a case or travel an envelope for your plane. The first could be a good idea for protection purposes, if you do not have a safe place to store your stylist, along with its accessories.

#3. Clean the filter monthly
According to Dyson, the cause of the vast majority of air vapor problems is that it has neglected to keep the filter clean. It must be cleaning its filter, following the detailed process, monthly, or failing that, when the LED filter warning light begins to intervene continuously.
- Unplug the machine and let it cool completely
- Slide the filter cage on the cable and Ábal
- Pass the C Cup through the power cable to start cleaning
- Turn the C up and down the filter mesh or use a soft and dry toothbrush to remove dust and waste (No Use water or chemicals to clean the filter mesh itself)
- Clean the clous c gently to clean it
- Loosen the debris of the filter cage with the dry C brush
- Bring the filter cage to a sink (No Bring the rest of the machine with it, leave that well away from the water)
- Rinse the filter cage and the C cup under warm current water
- Apply a clarifying quantity of the size of a pea to the cloph
- Slightly rub the filter cage using cloque C in circular movements and up and down to eliminate the accumulation of hindered
- Rinse for 20 seconds to ensure that the entire shampoo leaves the filter cage
- Shake the filter cage gently to remove excess water, then dries with a paper towel
- Keep the filter cage to the light to verify that it is completely clean
- Allow all the pieces, including the filter cage, they dry thoroughly before assembling again (No Re -assemble the machine while any pieces are still wet)
- Cut the filter cage in the machine again.
#4. Solve problems of any other problem
There is a support section on the Dyson website designed to help if something goes wrong. Here, you can download the user manual for several versions of the Airwrap.
There is also a click problem solution section, which covers problems such as poor product performance, electrical failures and unusual smells or noise. Some of the solutions offered are common sense, but it can still be useful to help ensure that there is nothing obvious to miss.
If you need more help, there is a customer service line or you can access the support through live chat or WhatsApp (only in the United Kingdom).

#5. Repair it
Yes … more or less. It seems to vary according to the product and by the country.
In the United Kingdom, Dyson offers a repair service, where you will collect your machine, remove it and fix it for you. This is free if the machine is low guarantee (two years of purchase), or £ 99 otherwise.
On the Dyson UK website, it is not clear if the air is included: the page says: “For more information about repairs and the service of the Dyson Hair Care range (including hair dryers, straighteners, styles), contact us.”
However, our Dyson spokesman told us that repair was An option for air wrapping: “Repairs, replacements and parts are covered free of charge for the problems caused by normal use or manufacturing defects through the two -year guarantee. For products outside the guarantee, repair services paid with genuine pieces of Dyson are available. Record your device with a MyDYSON account allows you to trace your guarantee and personalized access.”
In the US, Dyson will cover the repairs of products under guarantee, but it is not seen that it is an option if it is after that period. Once again, it is not clear if tools for hair such as air air are included, since the entire language of the site focuses on the vacuum cleaners.
In Australia, you also have the option to try the product for 45 days, and if you do not get it, you can return it (with original packaging, in original conditions) for free. We could not find any mention of repair options in Australia.

#6. Buy restored
If your current air plane is not rescued, or you are looking for a more conscious (and affordable) option aware of sustainability for your first purchase, then consider buying a restored model.
“Dyson gives his machines a second life by extending his sustainability efforts through restored machines,” the spokesman told us. “They are completely tested for quality and use genuine replacement pieces of Dyson.”
From time to time you will find Restoled Dyson products sold directly through Dyson, but a better place to look is the official EBAY renewal store of the brand. This generally has a wide range of certified restored appliances available, and there is also a relatively rapid billing of the products: it is worth checking if the air you want is not available the first time you look.
EBAY has a well -established renewal system. According to the experience of this writer and other client reviews, it is a reliable and direct place to collect pre-love electronics.
Can you recycle a Dyson Dyrap?
If you are buying a new Dyson Airwrap, and you have an old woman who no longer wants or needs, you can return your old to Dyson to recycle, at least in the United Kingdom.
“To recycle her old machine, you can take it to a Dyson demonstration store within 28 days of the purchase of your new Dyson machine, show us the receipt or confirmation of orders, and can be recycled for free,” our United Kingdom spokesman told us. “The machine that is returned must be of similar type or have performed the same function as the new article that is being purchased.”
You can also recycle old planes in the same way that would do it with other small appliances. This will vary according to the country and the area. If it is in the United Kingdom, this is a very useful tool to find its local recycling, donate or repair electricity options (the air is not listed, but we suspect that it will be the same way that it is a blow dryer, which is).
