The Ministry of Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, has announced the processing of refunds for 67,377 Hajj pilgrims, with a total of Rs 3,450 million to be credited directly to their bank accounts. Refunds will be completed by October 31, 2025, as part of the government’s efforts to ensure fairness and transparency in the Hajj process.
According to the ministry, pilgrims will receive refunds based on their actual expenses. Specifically, 14% of pilgrims will receive refunds between Rs 12,286 and Rs 12,000, while 16% will receive refunds ranging between Rs 13,000 and Rs 25,000.
Additionally, 20,302 pilgrims will receive Rs 75,000 and 408 pilgrims will receive a refund of Rs 110,000.

For those not entitled to refunds, it was noted that they had already received online services with their payments.
As for facilities, all pilgrims will have a suitcase with wheels, a handbag and scarves for women. Additionally, a Saudi mobile SIM card will be issued to all pilgrims, offering Internet access and up to 3.5 minutes of free calls.
For pilgrims participating in the 40-day Hajj programme, the cost will be Rs 11,50,000, while those opting for the shorter Hajj will have to pay Rs 12,00,000. Reservations for the official program have been completed and reservations for the private quota are almost finalized.
Addressing health and safety concerns, Hajj Secretary Dr Attaur Rehman stated that strict measures have been taken to address any complaints received from pilgrims. This year, there will be a strict policy ensuring that sick people, including those with end-stage cancer, tuberculosis or pregnant women in their final months, will not be allowed to travel for the Hajj.
