Islamabad: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that Beijing is taking his relationship with Islamabad to new heights, since he has started an official three -day visit to Pakistan, highlighting the deepest strategic association between the two neighboring countries.

FM Wang Yi arrived in the Federal Capital on Wednesday, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and participating in high -level diplomatic commitments.

He was warmly received in Nur Khan Airbase by the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar. The senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the main diplomats of the Chinese embassy in Islamabad, were also present to welcome the distinguished guest, said a statement issued by the DPM office.

In a vibrant cultural gesture, a group of children dressed in the traditional Pakistani outfit greeted Minister Wang with flowers, symbolizing the deeply rooted friendship between the two nations.

During a joint press conference, GIV said that the two parties had held a productive discussion that covered all the dimensions of bilateral ties, including the Chinese-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC).

He added that Pakistan is determined to advance in the second phase of CPEC, improve people exchanges to people and deepen cooperation, adding that the two countries enjoyed consensus on all important matters.

Dar also said, Islamabad valued China’s role in the safeguarding of Pakistan’s sovereignty and emphasized that both nations were committed to working together for regional peace, stability and prosperity. He also added that the next visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Beijing had been part of the discussions.

Wang Yi said the strategic association between Pakistan and China continued to strengthen itself. He stressed that detailed discussions had been held in the second phase of CPEC, reiterating that China considered Pakistan as a trusted ally. He stressed that regional peace and stability were shared objectives for both countries.

During the visit, the two parties will discuss the entire range of bilateral relations. The dialogue serves as a key platform for both countries to review bilateral cooperation, regional developments and global problems of mutual interest.

The strategic dialogue will be co -presided by Wang Yi and Ishaq Dar, which further reflects the close coordination between the two countries.

According to an earlier statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit is part of high -level regular exchanges aimed at further strengthening the “strategic cooperative association for all climate” between Pakistan and China.

The dialogue will reaffirm mutual support in the central interests of others, will improve economic and commercial cooperation, and underline the commitment of both countries with regional peace, development and stability.

According The newsWang Yi’s commitments will include meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Senator of Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with an approach to the progress of the Chinese-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), economic collaboration, regional security and defense ties.

It is also expected that the Chinese Foreign Minister will meet with the head of the Army personnel, Syed also Munir, in Rawalpindi.

This is Wang Yi’s first visit to Pakistan from the cross -border aggression of India in May last year and arrives weeks after his meeting with the Munir Field Marshal in Beijing, a development seen as reinforcing the “Ironclad” relationship between Islamabad and Beijing.
