Shazia Marri, a senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), condemned the use of the Parachinar issue for political gains in Sindh, calling it an injustice to the people of the province.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Marri expressed concern over the deteriorating situation in Parachinar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said, “The situation in Parachinar is alarming, and when I see the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I remember WWE.”
Marri accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government of failing to take action, adding that despite the governor’s efforts to resolve the issue – by calling an All Parties Conference (APC) – the provincial government had refused to attend.
“We held an APC, in which between 16 and 17 parties participated, but the provincial government did not come,” he said.
He further emphasized, “We support the people of Parachinar, but it is unfair to bother the people of Sindh. If you have a problem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, go there and raise your voice outside the CM House.”
Meanwhile, protests continue in Karachi, with the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen holding sit-ins at 12 locations in response to the Parachinar incident. These protests have caused serious traffic disruptions, increasing difficulties for citizens.
