Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has firmly stated that he will not reach an agreement with the establishment or under pressure from any country.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Monday, Khan’s sister Aleema Khan relayed the former prime minister’s comments, adding that he has rejected any idea of negotiating while facing multiple cases.
“I will fight every case. What need is there to settle when I’m fighting cases?” he quoted Khan as saying. “I will not reach any agreement by order of the establishment or any country.”
Aleema also reiterated her brother’s stance on the judiciary, accusing him of flouting the system. He further claimed that Khan blamed the May 9 incidents, alleging that the conspirators behind them were known, including those who stole CCTV footage.
“The May 9 plot was premeditated,” he said. “Those who left the party after May 9 got their cases pardoned.”
Discussing other sensitive issues, Aleema called for a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26, demanding the release of innocent detainees.
He also alleged that mass graves similar to those at Lal Masjid were discovered and that there was growing concern over missing persons, particularly in relation to November 26.
Aleema shared her brother’s strong opposition to house arrest and said that Imran would not accept house arrest at his Bani Gala residence.
He also commented on ongoing legal cases, including the Toshakhana case and the Al-Qadir Trust case, stating that the former was similar to previous Toshakhana cases and expressing confidence that both would be dismissed by higher courts.
Regarding the upcoming ruling in the Al-Qadir case, Aleema said the ruling is scheduled for January 6, but he believes that both the Al-Qadir case and the Toshakhana case will be clarified in the higher courts.
