The PCB Chief Naqvi urges Crick -free of politics after the apology of the CPI referee

The president of the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, emphasized on Wednesday the need to separate sports from political disputes, since the referee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and referee Andy Pycroft apologized with the manager and captain of the Pakistan Cricket team.

Pycroft had banned the captains of India and Pakistan to narrow the hand during his party, a movement that took a strong reaction from the PCB.

The referee of the party described the incident of September 14 as a result of the lack of communication and apologized to the administration in person. The ICC expressed its willingness to carry out an investigation into the violation of the Code of Conduct that occurred during the party against India.

Going to a press conference in Dubai, Naqvi said he had asked former PCB bosses Najam Sethi and Ramiz Raja to maintain discussions, since the decision to boycott, if taken, would have been significant.

He pointed out that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and several others were also involved in the process. When expressing his gratitude, he said: “We also know what decision should be made at the last moment, so we are grateful to Allah who maintained the dignity of the country in line with the expectations of the nation.”

With one eye in performance, Naqvi said the team still had space to improve. “Even if there are weaknesses, we will rectify them. We have a panel of selectors that will review the actions, and I promise that if there are weaknesses, I will definitely ask them to surpass them.”

Sethi reinforced that the PCB has always maintained politics outside its domain. “PCB has always followed the position that there should be no policy in sports. Even when I was president, we had the same position, and even today it is still the same. They interpreted politics, but we did not do it. We showed sports spirit, we apologized and apologized.”

Raja also described recent developments as a victory for Cricket. “It was a critical situation, the emotions were high, and I am happy that we have not made an emotional decision that could damage the Crick. I have always believed that the Crick Team must speak through their performance. They should carry it forward, and whatever the frustration or the injured feelings, they should show it through their cryket and show him how good a good nation of Grillo we are.”

He added that once the apology arrived, the problem necessary to remain within the sand of sport was clear.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket team arrived at the Cricket Dubai stadium for its forced gain game against the United Arab Emirates (EAU), after receiving permission from the president of PCB. The EAU won the launch and chose to play against Pakistan.
