- Three new Breville ‘barista’ espresso machines: Slimline, Classic and Sense
- Barista Slimline is an affordable entry level model with a compact footprint
- Barista Classic and Sense are bean machines at medium range cups
If you have been thinking about buying your first coffee maker or updating your existing, you are lucky: Breville has just launched an alignment of three new express coffee machines, with one for each budget and level of experience.
(This is the British Breville company, which is not related to the American company of the same name whose products are qualified as “Salvia” in the United Kingdom).
The smallest of the new trio, the espresso coffee machine Breville Barista Slimline, has only 6.1 inches / 15.5 cm wide, with a standard 58 mm portfilter of the industry. It is operated using a set of simple physical buttons, which facilitates domination, and has a convenient cleaning program to download the Groufad and the screen between beers. It costs £ 239.99 and is available on Amazon or Curries.
Its size, price and specifications are similar to the popular style of’Lonchi dedicates, so I am curious to see how both compare in practice.

The next is the Breville Barista Classic Espresso Machine, with a price of £ 499.99 and available exclusively in Curries. This model has a conical grinder with an automatic dose to ensure that it obtains exactly the correct amount of coffee in its filter basket and antistatic technology to prevent the land from flying through their kitchen and adhere to the machine (always a frustrating problem).
It has the same price as the Ninja Luxe Café, which is currently on sale for £ 499.99 in Curries, but with antistatic technology and without automatic milk vaporizer.
Finally, there is the Breville Barista Sense Espresso machine, which is for sale for £ 599.99 in Curries and Amazon. It has the same molinillo of burrs as Barista Classic, but with the addition of an intelligent early steam wand, which can stop steam automatically once it reaches a certain temperature to avoid accidental overheating (which can result in a flavor of unwanted zipper).
The wand can create different textures depending on the type of drink you want (fine and fluid microfoam for lattes and dryer foam for capuchinos, for example), and is optimized for dairy milk and plant base.
You can also adjust the machine pressure profile to adapt coffee extraction to your tastes, which is an unusual feature and welcome at this price.
