- Dreame is a Chinese television manufacturer, hair dryers and more
- The company announced Dreame Automotive at the IAA Mobility Show
- A complete concept of the Bugatti rival will be exhibited in CES 2026
A Chinese manufacturer of robotic vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hair dryers and televisions has declared that it will be launched to the automotive market next year, with its first ultra luxurious pure electric product programmed to go on sale in 2027.
While it is not unusual for Chinese companies to pivot from other industries to EVs (ByD used to make rechargeable batteries for technological products for consumption, for example), it is rare that a company tries to assume the regalia of Supercar with its first model.
Yu Hao, founder and CEO of Dreame Technology, has declared that the company will present a conceptual version of its EV with a rival of Bugatti in the Electronics Show of Consumer next year in Las Vegas, with a production version ready at the beginning of 2027.
Until now, all we have seen are a handful of early renders who, if we want to be educated, it seems that someone has drilled “Bugatti Chiron stretched” in a generator of images AI and distributed the results.
Sent by email by the public relations firm based in the United Kingdom, the characteristic of ‘renders’ extends to the cloned bushes in the background, the wheels that challenge the laws of physics and what seems to be three rows of seats inside.
The interior images are also Easter eggs of generation of images of image generation, which include confusing iconography, surfaces that magically change material and handles of the poorly coincident doors.
It is a common practice that established automotive brands reveal conceptual images of the next models or designs studies, but very few seem as fond of as these.
In addition, it looks so much like a Bugatti catalog that the VW owned brand is likely to be a demand if this is displayed in its current form.
Everything was a dream
Despite the lazy renders, Dreame says that it is 100% committed to an automotive future, stating that the company has been considering a manufacturing site in Germany to “take advantage of the localized supply chain of the region for the key automotive components.”
There are very few details about the car itself, apart from that it will be ultra luxurious and will take advantage of the company’s deep technological experience.
Dreame says that, unlike traditional luxury cars, the EV of Dreame will have “designs driven by AI focused on vitality and scalability, pioneering intelligent interaction to improve user experience.”
That is the definition of the word soup dictionary, but the company states that it has submitted 3,155 patents worldwide and presented a total of 6,379 applications, although it is not clear if that is related to its consumer technology business or its plans to dominate the luxury EV market.
In addition, this is badly reflected in the Chinese automotive industry as a whole, since most brands have been working overtime to establish themselves as serious propositions, instead of something that pumps cheap imitations of western brands.
All eyes are in CES 2026 to see if the dream becomes a reality, how it will really look and how angry Bugatti will be.
