The National Authority for Disaster Management (NDMA) warned about heavy rains in the next two days in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, with intermittent showers also expected in Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Zhob.
The river tickets in the areas of upper collection are feared, increasing the risk of new floods.
Currently, Guddu Barge is experiencing an average level flow of 500,000 CUSECs, Sukkur Barge is at high flood levels with 571,000 Cusecs and Kotri’s flood is low a medium level flow with a possible risk of flooding.
According to the Provincial Authority for Disaster Management (PDMA), water levels in the Indo, Jhelum, Ravi and Chenab rivers have returned to normal, while Panjnad is stable.
However, a medium flood persists in Ganda Singh Wala in the Sutlej, and a low flood remains in Sulaimanki and Islam Heads. It is also reported that the torrents of the hill in Dera Ghazi Khan flow normally.
Meanwhile, Mangla Dam has reached 95 percent capacity and Tarbela DAM is at full capacity. On the other side of the border, the Bhakra dam has filled 88 percent, Pong Dam to 94 percent, and the 88 percent dam.
The NDMA has ordered all relevant institutions that remain on a maximum alert and guarantee preventive measures, while urging citizens to avoid crossing rivers, bridges or roads submerged during high flows.
Residents of flood -prone areas that keep informed through television and mobile alerts and use the Pak NDMA disaster alert application have also been advised for areas for television and mobile disaster alert for timely updates.

Help efforts
Flood in Punjab rivers has already caused generalized devastation. According to the Help Commissioner, Punjab Nabeel Javed, more than 4.7 million people have been affected and more than 4,700 damaged villages due to the serious flood situation in the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers. Recent incidents during floods have gained 119 lives.
Around 2,614 million stranded residents have been relocated in safer places, while 329 aid camps and 425 medical camps have been established. In addition, 367 veterinary camps have been established, and 2.09 million animals have been transferred to safe areas.
“In the directives of the Punjab main minister, compensation will be provided to citizens for their losses,” said Javed, confirming that a damage assessment survey is being carried out and that payments will be made “in a transparent and easy way.”
The PDMA pointed out that, although water levels decrease rapidly in many areas affected by floods, the provincial administration remains on alert according to the CM directives. Socorro operations continue, and citizens can communicate with the 1129 emergency installation line to get help.

Medical response
The Department of Health and population of Punjab reported that more than 822,000 flood victims have received medical treatment, including 31,000 in the last 24 hours.
The provincial minister, Khawaja Imran Nazir, said that 603 medical aid camps, 23 field hospitals and 12 boat clinics are serving areas affected by floods. He added that so far 31,000 hygiene kits have been distributed.
Health authorities also confirmed 164 cases of snake bite during floods, including eight in the last 24 hours, together with treatment for diabetic patients and 343 pregnant women.
“The department undertakes to guarantee uninterrupted medical care for the communities affected by floods,” said Nazir.
