“We, as you probably know, are going to Memphis, and we go to other cities and very soon we will go to Chicago,” Trump told journalists at the Oval office. “It will be safe for the World Cup. If I think it is not safe, we are moving to a different city. If I think it is not certain, we are going to get it out of that city.”
Trump gave credit to the director of the FBI Kash Patel for helping to reduce the crime in Chicago, but made the point again that he would consider moving a location if he felt that the city was too insecure.

“If any city, we believe that it will be a bit dangerous for the World Cup or for the Olympic Games … but for the World Cup in particular, because they are playing in so many cities, we will not allow it to go to that. We will move it a little. But I hope that does not happen.”
Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Atlanta, Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Santa Clara, California and East Rutherford, New Jersey, will be the host cities of the United States
The tournament will begin on June 11 and will run until July 19.
