The residents of Murree, who suffer from cardiac ailments, will no longer need to travel to Rawalpindi to receive treatment, since a heart center will be inaugurated on Wednesday, where cardiac surgeries and derivation procedures will be carried out soon.
Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif cardiac center at the Mohammad Hussain Samli Sanatorium-General Hospital in Murree. He also announced that cardiac surgeries and derivation procedures would begin in the installation in the near future.
When addressing the inaugural ceremony, the prime minister stressed that an important remodeling of Murree’s Historic Mall Road is currently underway, which involves a multimillion -dollar investment. The project includes the development of a biodiversity park, a wildlife, Bansra Gali, Pia Park and Karshee Park, all destined to improve the environmental and recreational offers of the region.
In addition, he revealed plans for the imminent launch of the Glass Train/Automated railway trains system and the establishment of a 100 -bed hospital in Kotli Sattian, as part of broader tourism and infrastructure development initiatives.
Maryam announced that Shuttle bus services would soon be operational between Central Murree and Samli Hospital, which had long suffered negligence. Observing the lack of local cardiac facilities, he commented that patients with heart -related ailments were previously forced to travel to Rawalpindi, a considerable difficulty, particularly given the nature sensitive to the time of such emergencies.
“To close this critical gap, we have now ensured the availability of quality cardiac care within Murree,” he said.
The provincial executive director praised the rapid and efficient construction of the Nawaz Sharif cardiac center, with qualified doctors and trained personnel, and stored with a wide supply of essential heart medications.
She caught attention to the contrast between the serenity that tourists enjoys in Murree and the lack of basic medical services that local residents suffered historically. “We promised the people of Murree that they would no longer need to leave their city to obtain medical attention, and we have fulfilled that promise,” he said.
Maryam announced that his government had now transformed completely key departments, including police, traffic management, health, education and tourism, the local administration of Murree.
He pointed out that an unprecedented number of roads in Murree had been built in the last eight months. In contrast, he strongly criticized the previous administrations for allowing deforestation without control, illegal wood trade and unregulated construction, which had resulted in the degradation of the natural beauty of the area.
“Our government has taken firm measures against unauthorized structures and will not allow the monopol or deposits of land to disfigure the landscape of Murree,” he promised.
He also announced the next presentation of electric buss, offering free transport to students, women, older people and people with disabilities, further improving accessibility and ecological mobility in the region.
In the health infrastructure in other parts of Punjab, he highlighted the accelerated progress at the Nawaz Sharif Cancer hospital in Lahore, and revealed that the Sahiwal division, which previously lacked a single cardiac public hospital, now has a completely operational cardiology center.
