He stops and looks like the first 2025 superluna illuminates the sky

The first 2025 superluna illuminated the night sky through Pakistan, attracting astronomy enthusiasts to popular visualization places to witness and photograph the celestial show.

The event occurred around 7 pm, on Tuesday, shortly after the Pakistan Space Research Commission and the upper atmosphere (Supparco) issued a clarification about the reports of the international media that suggest that the Superluna had appeared a day before.

A Supparco official explained that an overlap of time caused the moon to seem brighter the night before. “The October 6 event, called Perigee, was the closest approach from the Moon to Earth, which can also be defined as a superluna,” said the official.

The perigee took place at 7 pm coordinated the universal time on October 6, equivalent to 12 in the morning of October 7. The official added that the full moon phase occurred at 8:47 PM PST, and since both events occurred within a few hours, “it was described as a super -monction.”

A superluna appears up to 14% larger and almost 30% brighter than a typical full moon. Previously, Suparco said the moon would be at a distance of 224,599 miles from the earth, which makes it approximately 6.6% larger and 13% brighter than the average.

However, the brightest superluna of the year is expected on November 5, when the moon will be only 221,817 miles from the earth. The phenomenon will be visible worldwide, even in Pakistan, offering an “impressive” view for Sky observers.
