In a high intensity intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Orakzai district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan’s army staff, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rahat, established their lives, public relations between services (ISPR) confirmed.
The Ibo, made around midnight, involved intense shootings with terrorists belonging to the Fitna al Khwarij group backed by India. The troops successfully neutralized the positions of the militants, killing 19 terrorists, ISPR added.
Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif, 39, and his second under the main command Tayyab Rahat, 39, both residents of Rawalpindi, led the operation from the front and hugged martyrdom with nine other soldiers.

The Fallen Soldiers Include Naib Subedar Azam Gul (38, Khyber), Naik Adil Hussain (35, Kurram), Naik Gul Ameer (34, Tank), Lance Naik Sher Khan (31, Mardan), Lance Naik Talish Faraz (32, Manshera), Lance Naik Irshad Hussain (32, Kurram) Sepoy Tafail Khan (28, Malakand), Sepay Aqib Ali (23, Swabi) and Sepoy Muhammad Zahid (24, tank).
ISPR said that disinfection operations are ongoing to eliminate the remaining militants in the area. “The sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolution to eliminate terrorism sponsored by Pakistan Indians,” he said.

This operation is part of a series of recent successes against the terrorist. On October 1, seven terrorists Fitna al Khwarij were killed during an Ibo in the Sherani district in Baluchistan. Previously, on September 27, 17 militants were neutralized in Lakki Marwat, while four terrorists Fitna al Hindustan were killed in Mastung. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered during these operations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the value of the troops and issued a severe warning to Afghanistan not allowing his soil to be used for militancy. “The intellectual authors of the attacks in Pakistan are operating from the Afghan soil with the Indian support. It will follow an adequate response,” he said.
The ISPR emphasized that the armed forces of Pakistan are still determined to eradicate terrorism supported by the country’s Indians.
