‘Razzlekhan’ Releases Video as Rapper Prepares to Go to Prison on Bitfinex Hack

The cryptocurrency industry’s most famous rapper, Heather Morgan, better known as Razzlekhan, released a new music video as US authorities are set to jail her for criminally laundering portions of the cryptocurrency haul her husband was convicted of stealing from Bitfinex.

In the song, ‘Razzlekhan vs. The United States’, Morgan’s flamboyant and proactive musical personality twirls and scowls at the camera. Despite the legal jargon of the song’s name, its lyrics do not overtly attack the investigation and judicial proceedings. that earned him a federal sentence of 18 months in prison.

“This ain’t a free country; it runs on money; the capitalists are friendly; the old white men are real grumpy,” raps Morgan, bound with red ropes. The aggressive image contrasts sharply with the conservatively dressed defendant who wept in a Washington courtroom as she apologized for her role in hiding and cashing in portions of the stolen fortune of nearly 120,000 bitcoins.

Her husband, Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein, was sentenced to five years for orchestrating the hacking and theft. And the couple’s crypto crimes are the subject of a recent Netflix documentary, “The Biggest Heist of All Time.”

Morgan’s Razzlekhan performances are intended as tongue-in-cheek commentary, he maintains, and in the latest “misfit anthem” released Friday, “the lines of sex appeal and cringe memes are blurred.”

“It symbolizes many of my real thoughts and experiences throughout our federal case,” he said in a statement about the work. “Many creatives and misfits have told me that Razzlekhan’s content has been really inspiring to them and makes them feel less alone.”

The federal judge who sentenced her, despite her request that she be allowed to enjoy the days she had already served behind bars, said she would not have to report to prison before the end of January. Your computer use will also be restricted and monitored.

Morgan lamented in court that her reputation had been “totally and completely” destroyed due to the public’s fixation on her rapper persona as a side show to the high-profile criminal case.

She told the judge at her sentencing hearing that she would be haunted “for the rest of my life” by what she had done to help the theft of what would now be worth $11 billion. Hours later, he posted a video of Razzlekhan celebrating the end of his silence.

In this latest appearance, less than two months later, Razzlekhan appeals not to a crypto executive, but to someone with close ties to the world of digital assets: the CEO of Tesla and the social media site a political ally of the president-elect. Donald Trump.

“Old money, gold dust; save me Elon Musky!”
