It’s happening here, but Netflix hopes to improve the personalized experience even further, offering trailers for movies or TV shows that better suit your tastes.

Netflix hopes to improve the experience by having viewers drawn to trailers tailored to them, rather than offering the same one for everyone. Instead of focusing on a big show, let’s say Squid Game In season 2, viewers would see trailers based on their own viewing history.
How does Netflix plan to offer personalized trailers?
To explain this in more detail, the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a 24-page document detailing Netflix’s plan. This system would select different clips and arrange them in a custom order based on what it thinks you’d like, based on your viewing history and titles you’ve liked. You would then create a ‘playback graph’ that determines the order in which these clips are played.
To keep this chart relevant, it will change over time depending on what you’ve been enjoying. So if you’ve been watching a lot of comedy movies lately, you’ll notice that you’re shown more comedy titles. I would learn from you and improve your experience, in theory.
This is all part of Netflix’s plans to help you navigate its ever-growing library, and this news comes after Netflix tested major changes that will make finding new movies and shows much easier in the summer.
