The $69.99 game has been in development for quite some time and will finally be released next month. From the trailers and gameplay reels we’ve seen, it appears to be a pretty ambitious game, but the South Korean studio has promised that it won’t offer pay-to-win add-ons or in-game microtransactions.
“I can say it definitively: there is no cash cosmetics store,” Will Powers, director of marketing for Pearl Abyss America, confirmed in an interview with Fallen frames.
“This is made to be a premium experience that you buy and enjoy the world, and not something for microtransactions.
“It’s a monetization model. If you play for free, then you need to recover revenue in a different way. This is a premium experience. That’s the transaction. Full stop.”
