When Tiger Woods crashed his car last Friday, possibly his most prized possession was in the trunk: his golf clubs.

Woods’ 2025 Range Rover veered onto the driver’s side in the crash and nearly two hours later, the 15-time major champion was arrested for driving under the influence.

Authorities arrived at the scene and spoke with Woods’ manager, Rob McNamara, who said the clubs were extremely important.

“I understand,” one officer said, as body camera footage revealed. “It’s worth more than my house.”

“The putter is worth more than all our houses,” McNamara responded.

Woods later said that the sticks were all he needed, especially the putter, with which he “won 14 majors.” Woods used another putter for the 1997 Masters, his first major victory, which he won by 12 strokes.

The on-camera officer told a towing employee that there was “expensive shit” in the trunk of a “high-profile person” that needed to be removed from the vehicle. However, as a result of the accident, the trunk could not be opened. Then, a member of the local fire department broke the rear windshield and authorities slid the sticks through the windshield and handed them to McNamara, keeping them safe and sound.

The clubs were in a Monster Energy branded bag and his driver was covered in Woods’ famous tiger head cover.

TIGER WOODS MAKES SARCASTIC 3-WORD COMMENT AFTER BEING PLACED IN THE BACK OF POLICE CAR DURING DUI ARREST

The agent found one of Woods’ Sun Day Red T-shirts, and joked that it was more than one of his paychecks.

Woods was placed in the vehicle after failing a field sobriety test, conducted after he showed “signs of impairment” and was “lethargic.” He gave “triple zeros” on a breathalyzer, but after failing to submit a urine test, he received another charge. Officers found two pills that were later identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid used to relieve pain.

Woods previously told police before field sobriety tests that he underwent seven back surgeries and “more than 20 surgeries on his leg.” He told authorities he “takes some” prescription medications. In 2021, he suffered an accident that caused serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course throughout the year.

Woods told officials he “hoped” to play in the Masters, but in a statement earlier this week, Woods said he would pause his quest to return to the golf course to “seek treatment.”

“I know and understand the severity of the situation I am in today. I will be stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary so I can prioritize my well-being and work toward a lasting recovery,” Woods said. in a statement Tuesday posted on social media.

“I am committed to taking the time necessary to return to a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and I ask for privacy for my family, loved ones, and myself at this time.”
