Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on Wednesday there had been no talks on trade between India and Pakistan, nor proposals to resume the flow of trade.
He made the remarks while answering questions from journalists at the Indian embassy in Washington, where he had traveled to attend US President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.
Replying to a question on trade with Pakistan, Jaishankar said, “After last year, there have been no talks with Pakistan on trade, nor has any initiative emerged from their side.”
