New details have emerged regarding Britney Spears’ arrest for DUI in March.

According to the arrest report obtained by US Weekly On May 20, the pop princess was stopped near her home in Ventura County after police received complaints about a driver who was allegedly “traveling at high speeds and swerving.”

The report states that officers saw Spears’ vehicle swerve into another lane several times before they stopped her around 9 p.m. on March 4. During the interaction, police alleged they smelled alcohol coming from the car, although Spears allegedly said she had only consumed “a champagne mimosa” several hours earlier.

Police further alleged that Spears initially refused to get out of the car, saying she had been “pranked and harassed in the past.” The report described Spears’ “drastic mood swings” during the meeting, adding that she sometimes spoke with a British accent.

On April 30, Spears was officially charged with one count of driving under the influence. However, that charge was later dismissed when Spears accepted a “reckless and wet” plea deal since there was no accident or injury.

The singer is sentenced to 12 months of probation and one day in jail. You must also complete a mandatory DUI class and frequently consult with mental health professionals.
