Are you looking for a different day?
A new NYT Strands puzzle appears at midnight every day for your time zone, which means some people are always playing “today’s game” while others play “yesterday’s.” If instead you are looking for the Tuesday puzzle then click here: NYT Strands Tips and Answers for Tuesday, May 26 (Game #814).
Strands is the latest NYT word game after Wordle, Spelling Bee, and Connections, and it’s a lot of fun. It can be difficult, though, so read on for my Strands suggestions.
Want more word-based fun? Then check out my NYT Connections Today and Quordle Today pages for tips and answers for those games, and Marc’s Wordle Today page for the original viral word game.

NYT Strands Today (Game #815): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #815 are…
- SAUSAGE
- GOLF CLUB
- FOOT LONG
- FIRECRACKER
- weenie
- SPANGRAM: HOTDIGGITYDOG
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Ketchup or mustard? It could only mean one thing: hot dogs. But how could Strands extend this to a full game, especially since the word “HOTDOG” seemed to not be the spangram?
These were my thoughts when I started this game, which features the different types of sausages found inside a split bun. The words themselves were easy enough to spot, but the unnecessarily long spangram was a curveball.
I think I was also a little bothered by the word “or” in the topic. Surely everyone has both?
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Tuesday, May 26, Game #814)
