High terrorist leaders killed in Ibo in the Khyber district

Pakistani security forces killed four terrorists, including two senior leaders, during an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Khyber district, confirmed the army media wing, Interservicios Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation was aimed at a terrorist hiding place in the Bagh area of ​​the Khyber district of the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa after intelligence reports confirmed the presence of extremists, Express News reported.

The operation led to the elimination of Aziz-Ur-Rehman, also known as Qari Ismail, and another high terrorist leader, Mukhlis, Ispr said in a statement.

Two other terrorists were injured and weapons and ammunition were recovered.

“These terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism against security forces and innocent civilians,” said the ISPR, added that a cleaning operation is being carried out to eliminate any remaining threat in the area.

The Army reiterated its commitment to the eradication of terrorism and said that such operations are part of broader efforts to guarantee national security.

Earlier this week, a terrorist identified as an Afghan citizen was killed in Sambaza, Zhob district in Baluchistan, on January 11, 2025, the ISPR reported Tuesday.

The individual, Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, resided in the Bilorai village in the Wazekhwa district, province of Paktika, Afghanistan.

The deceased was involved in acts of terrorism within Pakistan, said the ISPR.

After completing the legal procedures, Ahmedkhel’s body was delivered to officials of the Afghan interim government (IAG) on January 20.

ISPR pointed out the incident as “an irrefutable proof of the participation of Afghan citizens in terrorist activities within Pakistan.” The army urged Kabul to “fulfill their responsibilities” guaranteeing that Afghan soil is not used to launch terrorist attacks against Pakistan.

In 2024, the Pakistan army carried out a record of 59,775 intelligence -based operations, eliminating 925 terrorists, including 73 objectives of high value, the largest number of militants neutralized in five years.
