US men’s soccer team kicks off World Cup run with big win
Dan Dakich analyzes the United States men’s soccer team’s impressive 4-1 World Cup victory against Paraguay. He highlights the speed and confidence of the team, attributing it to the experience of many players at higher levels. This strong start positions Team USA well for their next matchup at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In case you missed it, yesterday was a pretty significant day for America in the World Cup. The Americans secured their group, which means they will advance. Not only that, but they looked very strong doing it, and were able to pull this off without one of their best players. After all, maybe there is some hope for the United States to win the World Cup. We also had another win in their game, which ended 2-0, which gave us some cash – this was a bet that Geoff Clark and I liked and shared with all readers. Let’s try to get some money on Saturday’s games.

Netherlands against Sweden
The Netherlands comes into this match behind its opponent in the standings. They played Japan in their first World Cup match and tied the match. Japan is a pretty strong team, so I guess there shouldn’t be much frustration there. They were the better team in the game and a late goal allowed the tie, so perhaps that was the only reason for frustration. Sweden won their first match against Tunisia 5-1. This wasn’t a difficult match and honestly it probably didn’t do much to prepare them for this match against a stronger opponent. That doesn’t mean Sweden is a bad team, but it will be a bigger challenge.
I like the drawing again in this one. In fact, Sweden would probably be happy to get a draw as it would give them four points and bury the Netherlands a bit. They obviously want to win, but I don’t like their chances. I think Holland can take advantage of some of its strengths and fight for Sweden. I’ll give the giveaway a try. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sweden take a lead and try to maintain it for most of the game, so it makes me a little cautious about taking the lead, especially how juicy the line is.
US WORLD CUP TEAM EARNS A PLACE IN THE ELIMINATIONAL STAGE AFTER ANOTHER HISTORIC PERFORMANCE AGAINST AUSTRALIA

Germany against Ivory Coast
I won’t go too deep into this one, as Germany should absolutely dominate this game. In the first match of the World Cup, Germany shook off Curacao. And, if you haven’t seen it, they were honestly delighted to score a goal in the game. It was a 7-1 victory for Germany. Ivory Coast played well in their matchup with Ecuador, but it was not a very dominant performance. They won 1-0, which gives them three points. The goal came in the 90th minute of the game. Outside of that, most of the stats from that game seem pretty close.
In this one, we know Germany will be on the offensive. I wouldn’t say Ecuador did that against Ivory Coast. I don’t expect the Germans to score seven goals, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them score three or more here. I think Ivory Coast has a decent defensive scheme, but there are a lot of opportunities for a team as good as Germany. Give me his team’s total with over 2.5 goals. It’s at +145, so we’d get a good payout.

One final note: I don’t hate the idea of a World Cup parlay between Germany and Japan today. Both teams should win. I wouldn’t say the payout is phenomenal, but it’s a decent option if you’re looking for something extra.
