- Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 accidentally launched in PS5 causing some problems
- Patch 8 has been retreated since then and can cause problems for PS5 players
- Larian Studios players are doing a complete reinstatement of their game to solve the problem
Larian Studios has offered a quick solution to Baldur Puerta 3 PlayStation 5 players who were affected by the involuntary liberation of Patch 8.
Yesterday, the highly anticipated update, which still does not have a release date, was accidentally pushed live on PS5 before the stress test of patch 8, which seemed to confuse many players.
“No, the stress test of patch 8 has not yet begun,” Lary said on social networks at that time. “Yes, PS5 players currently have access to Patch 8. While we work with our partners to understand what is happening, keep in mind that any new except while in Patch 8 will not be compatible with Patch 7. How is your Monday?”
The update was quickly retreated, however, this may have caused some compatibility problems for those in PS5 that were affected, especially if they are using modifications. It could make your salvation game not reproducible or corrupted.
Fortunately, Larian has shared an easy solution for players to return to the track
“Our partners have confirmed that some regions received by mistake the compilation of patch 8 as an update of their live version of the game, in preparation for the stress test of patch 8,” said the study in a new blog post. “This version of Patch 8 is not compatible, and you can experience compatibility problems with the games and save modifications.
“You can return to the version of the Patch 7 game uninstalling and reinstalling your Baldur Puerta 3 game.”
According to Larian, if users have version 01,800,000 or 4.1.1.6583053 in the corner of their main menu, this is the version of patch 8 and is not supported. Anything below that number should be the correct patch 7.
The blog post also points out that if you still have Patch 8 installed, then the multiplayer will be inaccessible, there will be problems with the modifications and any new saved in Patch 8 will be incompatible with the version of Patch 7 of the game.
For the latter, this means that players must “create a new save or cancel an existing save while in patch 8”, since “they will not be able to continue using this rescue if it returns to patch 7”.
Patch 8 was revealed in November 2024 and will present completely new features for Baldur Puerta 3including photographic mode, cross game and 12 new subclasses.
