High court sets Imran’s contempt plea for July 20


ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court has finally fixed contempt proceedings for July 20 (Monday) for non-implementation of its order allowing meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan.

A three-judge bench headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazahar will hear the

Contempt petition for non-implementation of his March 24 order directing prison authorities to allow the PTI founder to meet his family members and lawyers.

On June 18, the same court issued notices to all respondents, including the superintendent of Adiala jail and the Punjab home minister. Notices were also sent to the Attorney General of Pakistan and the advocates general of Islamabad and Punjab.

Meanwhile, the same court will take up the case of lawyer Imaan Mazari and her husband on July 21.
