- Dyson has launched the Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum
- It has many of the same characteristics as Dyson’s full size stick vacuum cleaners
- Available in the US now for $ 199.99, and in the United Kingdom from February 4 to £ 249.99
I have been waiting for Dyson to throw a hand vacuum cleaner, and my patience has finally been worth it: today, the brand presented the Dyson Car+Boat, and it seems that it eclipsed the rest of the best hand vacuum cleaners currently in the market.
The auto+boat seems that someone took a Dyson Stick vacuum cleaner and shrunk it in the washing. You really can’t say in the press photos, but this is Dinky. However, that construction of the size of a pint has a great impact: this portable model has much in common with the best wireless Dyson wireless vacuum cleaners from the widest range, including a powerful suction, useful detail tools, advanced filtration and a long battery life. Unfortunately, the similarity also extends to the price: its list price is $ 199.99 / £ 249.99, which is cheaper than the cheaper dyson stick vacuum cleaner, but much more expensive than its average car vacuum cleaner.
Before getting too far, I will be clear that despite being called the car+boat, this is not a wet drying vacuum. It is just a regular hand vacuum, aimed at people who could have a boat. Dyson is nothing if he is not aware of his target market. Other things that are designed to address include dirt, debris, allergens, pets for pets, upholstery and bedding.
Let’s start with the battery life, which is the part that probably excites me. Most wireless hand vacuners offer a maximum of 30 minutes of cleaning, but sometimes they are more like 15 minutes. Here he has 50 full minutes, which is there with the best full -size wireless vacuum cleaners in the market, and, in fact, more than will get with the Dyson V8.
That explains the fact that car cleaning, furniture and, uh, boats, is complicated. You need time to do it correctly, and there is nothing more annoying than running out of juice once you have gotten into a hole. With almost an hour of cleaning, you have time to enter every corner and crack.
Dyson also promises first level suction. The test will be in the tests (a complete review is in process) but the specifications are promising: the engine revolves at 110,000 rpm, as in the V8, which is the oldest Dyson Stick aspirator in the current line. There is a totally sealed filtration system that can capture 99.99% of the particles as small as 0.3 microns (like all, except the Dyson Stick again and more expensive stick). That includes dust mites, pet dandruff and other allergens.
Dyson vacuum accessories are similar to those you will get with a full -size EMB Stick. There is a mini motorized tool to lift stubborn dirt and sticky hair, a combination tool 2 in 1 (in the top photo) that combines a dust brush and a wide nozzle, and a crack tool for narrow edges and hollows .
While this is the only hand -handed computer on the current Dyson line, it is not the brand’s first hand computer. More recently, there was Dyson Humdinger, who has just suspended in the USA floor and adding a detail tool, but the main vacuum unit tends to be too bulky and heavy to be an ideal option as a car vacuum.
The Dyson Car+Boat is available in the US. From today (January 29) at Dyson.com, and will go on sale in third -party retailers the first week of February. It has a list price of $ 199.99. In the United Kingdom, it will go on sale at Dyson.co.uk since February 4, with a list price of £ 249.99.
