Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced free electronic bicycles for 2,200 players who won division competitions of the Khelta Punjab 2025 Games.
Going to the inaugural ceremony of the Games, he said that winning players would also be allowed for free admission for the horse and cattle show. “I want to see Punjab players win laurels internationally,” he added.
The prime minister said: “Champions have to concentrate only on their sports activities and should not be deceived at the hands of criminals to create chaos and disturbances in the country. If someone asks him to believe an anarchy in our country, young people do not They must give an ear to them.
She added: “He who induces you to set the country fire, attacking institutions is your greatest enemy. Only Pakistan should be a ‘red line’ of all. Pakistan progress and development.”
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz also met with a delegation led by the special representative of the European Union for Human Rights Olaf Skoog and discussed issues related to the promotion of fundamental human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
He appreciated the continuous association of the European Union with Pakistan, especially Punjab in human rights matters.
The EU delegation reiterated its commitment to continue supporting the Punjab government for the protection of human rights.
The CM said: “Pakistan is fully adjusting to the human rights mechanisms of the United Nations. The well -being of minorities, women, children, differently.
She said: “Pakistan recently participated in an important UN review meeting on Human Rights. Pakistan successfully presented his review under the International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) in August 2024.”
He added: “Cooperation with the European Union for the promotion of fundamental human rights will be strengthened.”
