Junaid Akbar warns of obstacles if it is arrested during PTI’s protest


Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has declared that the next long march of the party will not imply negotiations with state institutions.

“Unlike previous protests, PTI’s leadership will not participate in conversations if demonstrations occur,” he said.

Speaking at an event in Malakand, Akbar warned that if it is arrested, the key routes that include the silk route, the Pak-Faghan highway, the highway and GT Road will be completely blocked.

He added that he had advised the founder of PTI Imran Khan to appoint a provincial president who has good ties with Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

Akbar promised to eliminate the culture of purchase of party and influence positions through money.

He said he did not receive direct instructions from Imran Khan regarding PTI’s organizational structure, but would continue working with existing configurations.

The PTI leader also criticized people who “invest strongly in political manifestations,” stating that they “explode the system” for financial profits.

He warned that those responsible for suppressing PTI workers after May 9 protests would face consequences if their party returns to power.

Akbar specifically directed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, promising reprisals.

“If Shehbaz Sharif’s children do not suffer under our government, I will leave PTI,” he said, reaffirming a hard line approach for future party’s confrontations.

The conversations between the government and PTI ended Friday after the latter rejected the offer of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to resume conversations.

PTI moved away from the discussions, demanding the formation of judicial commissions to investigate the incidents of May 9, 2023 and November 26, 2024 before continuing the conversations.

During a federal cabinet meeting, the prime minister had previously declared that the Government was open to forming a parliamentary committee to resume conversations with PTI, unlike PTI demand for separate judicial commissions to investigate on May 9, 2023 and On November 26, 2024, incidents, incidents ,.

He emphasized the need for dialogue to advance, urging to be crucial for the country’s progress and avoid more damage to violent protests.

The prime minister also referred to the decision of former Prime Minister Imran Khan to establish a parliamentary committee to investigate the general elections of 2018 instead of establishing a judicial commission. He added that he was also ready to establish a camera committee to take conversations forward even after PTI “fled” from the conversations before obtaining a formal response on the government’s side.
