NYT Strands Today (game #351) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #351, are …
- LEMON
- CANARY
- Gold stain
- MUSTARD
- SAFFRON
- DAFFODIL
- Spangram: yellow
- My qualification: Easy
- My score: 1 track
I needed a clue to start today, but once I knew that the color we were looking for was yellow, it was easy to go to the last word.
It could argue that saffron is an orange tone, but there seems to be some debate about being both orange and yellow.
Goldenrod is not a tone that I have heard before. Google’s search tool tells me that it bears the name of the flowers of the gold force and that is a color that transmits “a feeling of warmth, joy and natural beauty.” Meanwhile, according to the Wikipedia page about Goldenrod (color): “It is the color of the role that the Department of Ethics of the Church of Scientology prints its declarations of suppressor, giving rise to the term” gold of gold “”. Interesting.
How did you do it today? Avise me in the comments below.
Yesterday Nyt Strands responses (Sunday, February 16, game #350)

- RICE
- BUCKWHEAT
- TAPIOCA
