Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Monday that inflation in Pakistan will continue to decrease, assuring citizens a stabilizing economy.
In a discussion with journalists, he emphasized that, although significant progress had been made to improve the economy, additional efforts were still needed, said Express News.
Sharif explained that when his government assumed the position, the country’s economic conditions were serious, but his team has worked tirelessly to achieve improvements.
Despite this, he emphasized that more hard work is required to completely change the economy and ensure that growth benefits reach common citizens.
“At first, the situation was incredibly challenging, but we worked to make the stable economy and eliminate the culture of chronicle,” Sharif said.
He also reflected on the impact of political disputes in the past, which argued that he led to a culture of hate and division.
According to the Prime Minister, this division caused significant damage to the country, but he believes that national progress can only be achieved through unity and collaboration.
In a positive note, Sharif highlighted the progress made to address inflation.
He said: “Thank God, the inflation rate has now fallen to a single digits. The marking rate of the banking sector has improved, and we can expect a greater reduction in inflation in the next few days.”
In addition, he recognized the contributions of his team and the hard work of government officials to achieve these results.
“All interested parties, including public officials, must continue working diligently for the development of Pakistan,” he said. Sharif also praised the sacrifices of the military, who continue to fight for the country’s security.
