President to address the joint session

President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to address a joint session of Parliament in next month to begin the new parliamentary year.

This will be the second direction of Zardari to the 16th National Assembly. He went to the lower house on April 18, 2024 at the beginning of his first parliamentary year.

This will be the eighth speech of Zardari to Parliament as co -chair of the PPP, during his first term, since the president between 2008 and 2013 approached the joint parliamentary sessions six times.

According to the sources, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has begun to make preparations for the session and has acquired data regarding the performance of the federal government in its first year.

They said in their speech that the president will discuss the economic policies of the government, the political situation and the national challenges. It will also highlight government achievements during the past year and will present suggestions to improve the political situation.

The four governors, the main ministers, the heads of the Armed Forces and the diplomatic representatives will attend the session. The key figures will also be invited to the joint session of the Parliament.

According to article 56 of the Constitution, the President addresses the joint session of Parliament at the beginning of the parliamentary year.
