The Government has decided to provide relief to agricultural pipe well Users.
The Federal Minister of Energy, Ovais Ahmad Khan Leghari, announced a significant step to benefit agricultural tubes and consumers that use up to 300 electricity units, stating that the reduction of monthly fuel settings now will also extend to them .
According to the letter written by the Energy Division, consumers who use up to 300 units per month had been deprived of the benefit of the monthly fuel adjustment reduction since June 2015, while agricultural tube wells had lost this benefit since December 2010.
The letter to Nepra emphasized that the application of fuel cost reduction to agricultural tubes and consumers who use up to 300 units will lead to greater reductions in their monthly bills, which will provide a very necessary relief.
