Judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar observed that the writing in the verdicts of the Anti -Terrorist Courts (ATC) in Lahore and Islamabad regarding the transfer of May 9 accused of military custody was identical. This led Judge Jamal Khan Commandkhel to comment that it seems that ATC judges were weak in English.
A constitutional bank of seven members led by Judge Amin-Din Khan heard Intra-Court appeals that challenge the trial of civilians in the military courts.
At the beginning of the hearing, the civil society lawyer Faisal Siddiqui argued that the officers in command had submitted requests to transfer the accused on May 9 for the military trial. He pointed out that the request began with a sentence that it was an official secret case according to the initial investigation, said Faisal Siddiqui.
“This is an admission to the officer in command that the investigation was incomplete,” said Siddiqui. In addition, he argued that the reasoning of the ATC to transfer to the absurd military custody rate.
He said that the administrative judge of ATC issued an order to deliver the accused custody for military judgments. The ATC declared the culprit defendant before completing the investigation.

Faisal Siddiqui said the court can deliver the custody of the defendants to the military but not to the administrative judge. The military can take care of the custody of military officers involved in murders and other crimes of the Civil Court by virtue of Army Law 59 (1).
Later, the court postponed the hearing until Monday.
