“When I was a child, my mother died,” Madonna wrote. “Seeing his beautiful face in the open coffin and kissing his red lips to say goodbye, leave a disturbing memory. A deep yearning. A terrible fear of abandonment. He would follow my father everywhere, reminding him that if he ever died, he wanted to be buried with him.”
The 66 -year -old singer continued to say: “They fascinated me with the cemeteries. I was not afraid of death because I knew this was the only way I could be with my mother again. As life progressed, I lost many people who loved a lot, and I came to look at death as a kind of door to eternal life.”
“Even when my lovers left me, I saw him as a kind of death. When they hurt me, I would have a ritualist burial for them. I would understand my fear of abandonment before I could reach me,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that Madonna’s mother died at age 30 in 1964 due to breast cancer.
