The senior minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has announced significant progress in the Sindh Solar Energy project, with the second phase established to focus the distribution of solar kits to 200,000 additional homes throughout the province.

Sharjeel Memon shared this update during a ceremony held at Rawal House in Tandojam, where solar kits were distributed to the beneficiaries under the first phase of the project.

Next to him was Sindh’s Minister of Energy, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, who has also been fundamental to advance the project.

Sharjeel Memon emphasized the positive impact of the Solar Energy Initiative, which has been helping to provide renewable energy to the rural regions of Sindh.

He assured that the second phase would begin shortly, with an approach to guaranteeing a fair distribution and based on the merit of the solar kits to eligible homes.

“The second phase is crucial since our goal is to reach 200,000 homes in Sindh. Our goal is to provide sustainable energy solutions to more homes in the province,” said Sharjeel Memon. He expressed gratitude to the provincial government for his unwavering commitment to the renewable energy and well -being of his people.

During the event, Sharjeel Memon also congratulated Syed Nasir Hussain Shah for his dedication to the solarization project, which called a vital part of the efforts of the province to combat the shortage of energy and improve the quality of life in remote areas.

In addition to the Solar Project, Sharjeel Memon shared details of the plans of the provincial government to build 100 houses in each village. This housing initiative, according to the minister, would help meet the growing demand for affordable homes in the province and provide better living conditions for local residents.

“The government is committed to making Sindh a model province in terms of housing infrastructure and energy. We want this project to be recognized worldwide for its sustainability and innovation,” said Sharjeel Memon.
