Maryam Nawaz exceeds other provincial cm in the government, reveals the survey


A new survey has found that most Punjab residents positively see the governance of Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz, particularly in education, medical care and infrastructure, while concerns remain about employment and inflation.

The survey, conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR) in the 36 Districts of Punjab, revealed that 62% of respondents described the first year of Maryam Nawaz in office as “remarkable” to address public problems.

In education and medical care, 73% and 68% of respondents, respectively, described the performance of the provincial government as “good” or “very good”. However, 63% expressed dissatisfaction with job creation efforts, calling them “poor” or “very poor.”

In general, 57% of respondents believe that governance standards have improved during the past year, while 17% said they have worsened. Similar 57% felt that the government had effectively approached key public concerns.

According to the survey, 60% of Punjab residents believe that Maryam Nawaz has surpassed the main ministers of the other three provinces. Its rather received initiatives include improvements in education, medical care, infrastructure and the “Clean Punjab” campaign.

The report highlights an improvement of 15% in education, 14% in medical care, 11% in infrastructure and 11% in cleaning efforts. However, residents identified employment (13%), health services (13%) and inflation control (12%) as the most urgent problems that require attention.

The survey also found that 53% of respondents believe that Punjab governance has improved under Maryam Nawaz compared to the previous Government of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI).

The survey was conducted between February 3 and 18, gathering responses of 66,000 residents in rural and urban areas.
