Meghan Markle has received praise from the director of her last Netflix series, With love, Meghan.
Talk with People’s magazineThe director Michael Steed opened on his experience working with the Duchess of Sussex.
Michael said: “It was a lot of fun. It was always going to be the point of conversation, so I had someone to talk to at all times and make it more conversational and comfortable. But it certainly evolved where the cameras turned to me.”
“His kitchen is quite successful. He is not a chef, and he is definitely not intended to make it look like it, but there is only a love for the kitchen that is palpable,” he added.
Sharing that Meghan created a “comfortable atmosphere” on the set, Michael said that the Duchess of Sussex “as a person is totally the California, from beginning to end.”
He said that because Meghan’s childhood experiences her “relationship with the crew became very tight quite quickly. She understands what it means to be on the set and connected to the crew more than anyone.”
In addition, Michael also revealed that his favorite scenes were from when Meghan participated in activities such as organizing flowers and gifts.
“Those were the most fun for me. It is where it really was lost in what I was doing, and the camera disappeared,” said Michael.
Discussing the scene of the Netflix series flower store, Michael said: “It was a very funny moment in his mind: seeing her choose the flowers and show how he thinks.”
“I know it sounds cheesy, but I really believe that the core of Meghan’s being is her generosity. She wants to do the extra, and I think it’s something that everyone should take seriously,” said Michael Steed.
