Google has recognized problems in a support publication, saying: “We know that many of you have experienced frustrating problems that receive means in the messages, especially decelerations and failures. We understand how disruptive this can be, and we appreciate that I call it attention. ”
Google says that it is addressing the problems by implementing updates to improve the performance of the media, and adds that “our team has actively working on this, and recently we have launched updates to significantly improve the reception of the media. We hope you see a notable difference now. However, we also know that the problems can be complex, and we are committed to doing it well.”

Google has not revealed exactly what you are doing to implement these changes, but according to the edge could simply be making changes to the Backend server, since users are not required to install anything new.
