The Women’s World Cup qualifiers will be played in Lahore from April 9 to 19

Pakistan vs Ireland and Scotland vs. western Indies will begin the classification competition in LaHore on April 9 before the Women’s Odi World Cup, which will be played in October this year in India. Bangladesh and Thailand, the other teams in the fray at the six team event, will face the next day.

In addition to India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka have already qualified for the World Cup, and the two final places will be full of the two best teams in the classification tournament. The games will be played at the new Gaddafi stadium and the lands of the Cricket Association of the city of Lahore. The two places, as well as the Aitchison College Grounds, will organize the heating accessories on April 5 and 7, after the visiting teams arrive at Lahore on April 3. The last set of games will be played on April 19.

The calendar was officially launched today, on March 14, just over three weeks since the beginning of the tournament, although three boards, the Western Indies, Ireland and Bangladesh, had taken the dates and places in an unofficial capacity to announce the matches of their season and in the case of Bangladesh, their squad for the event.

This is the second multiple team tournament held in Pakistan, after the Champions Trophy and all matches will be played in the country. Lahore is the only city that is used for the event, since there will be no PSL games that will be held there until April 24. That tournament begins in Rawalpindi on April 11.
As previously reported in Espncricinfo, due to the reciprocal agreement to the BCCI and the PCB before the Champions trophy earlier this year, Pakistan, if they qualify for the main event, will not travel to India to play their games. Those games will be played in a neutral place.
India will organize the Women’s ODI World Cup for the fifth time in 2025, and the first time after 2011. It will also be the first global women’s tournament to be held in India since 2016, when the World Cup T20 ran parallel to the male event. The 2025 edition will take place similar to the 2022 edition, with eight teams participating and playing a total of 31 games.
